Crown Point Karate Booster Club

Funds donated to the Crown Point Karate Booster Club will be used to open the doors for students to receive scholarships and to assist with nationals and international tournaments. By providing financial assistance with the fess, travel, and equipment expenses associated with the nationals and international tournaments, the Booster Club will allow students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to showcase their skills in these major events. By allowing our local karate students the opportunity to challenge the best in the world in competition, they will not only gain the experience of a lifetime but develop confidence and focus that will serve them forever. Since karate is not a mainstream sport in the United States, the young athletes involved are often faced with having to fund their substantial competition expenses from their own pockets. Often times, the choice becomes one of going to college or competing internationally representing the United States as was the case with Sensei Brett Homann, the owner of Homann Karate Do, Inc.

In addition to financial assistance for karate tournament expenses, the Booster Club also seeks to provide the future leaders among karate students assistance with access to higher education by providing a number of scholarships on an annual basis. Applicants for these merit based scholarships will be required to undergo a rigorous application and interview process with both the Booster Club Board of Directors and a scholarship awards committee comprised of local business and community leaders. The process is designed to ensure scholarships are awarded to community minded student leaders who want to gain a higher education and use it to better themselves and the world around them.

The Booster Club is committed to providing young karate practitioners with all of the opportunity possible. The members of the Board of Directors are not compensated for their work and, by extensive use of volunteers; expenses are kept to a minimum. The Crown Point Karate Booster Club will provide the maximum amount of funding possible for the benefit of karate students.

Tournament Bags for purchase. The bags are also nice for traveling and other uses! Bags can be purchased at Homann Karate Do, Inc. They are $50.00 and all proceeds go to Crown Point Karate Booster Club. Make checks payable to CP Karate Booster Club.

Also if looking for a tax deductible donation, at anytime throughout the year Crown Point Karate Booster Club would greatly appreciate your support and contributions. As the contributions help kids in your community for higher education scholarships.
